📌 Use Case
A common issue for agencies is clients continuing to reply to requests that are already finished. This can reopen conversations, create confusion, or lead to unplanned revisions.
Locking comments on completed requests helps keep finished work clean and prevents accidental follow-ups after delivery.
What Happens When You Lock Comments
When this setting is enabled:
Clients can still view the request and its full conversation
Clients cannot add new comments
Your team keeps a clean, finalized record of the work
This is especially useful for maintaining boundaries after delivery.
How to Enable Comment Locking
Go to your Dashboard
Go to Settings > Modules & Extensions
Click Requests
Enable "Disable comments on completed requests"
Once enabled, any request marked as Completed will become read-only for clients.
How It Affects Your Workflow
Mark a request as Completed when work is done
Clients can review the final output
No further comments can be added if locking is enabled
If additional work is needed, a new request should be created instead of continuing the old thread.
When Should You Use This
Locking comments is helpful when:
You want to avoid scope creep after delivery
Your team works on fixed-scope requests
You want cleaner communication records
You prefer new requests instead of reopening old ones
