Use case: You sell custom, invite-only or high-ticket services and prefer to talk with clients before they see prices. You hide the service catalog so clients can't browse and buy on their own.
By default, clients see a Services item in their sidebar. It opens your service catalog, where they can browse and buy your services.
This is the catalog your clients see:
How to hide the service catalog
Go to Settings > Modules and extensions and click Users.
Scroll down to the Clients section, then to Services.
Turn on Block services and catalog access. As the description says: "If enabled, clients cannot view services or interact with the catalog page."
Click Save changes.
Your clients no longer see Services in their sidebar, and they get an error if they open the catalog page from a link. To show the catalog again, turn the switch off and save.
Good to know
The setting only applies to logged-in clients. Visitors who aren't logged in can still open your public catalog, for example from a link on your website. See How to add the service catalog to your website.
Direct service links still work. Blocked clients can buy a service if you send them its Service URL or an order form.
To hide only some services, turn off Show in catalog? on those services instead. See How to manage your service catalog.
If you turn off the whole Billing module, the catalog and checkout are switched off for everyone.
For the other client permissions, see Role permissions for admins, team members and clients.
