Use case: your agency moved office or changed its legal name, and you want your client invoices to show the new details. You update them once in your billing settings and every invoice your clients open shows them.
These are the "from" details your clients see on their invoices. To change the card you use to pay for your own ManyRequests plan, see How to change your payment method (for portal owners).
How to edit your billing information
Go to Settings > Modules and extensions and click Billing.
Open the Invoices tab, next to Payments.
Scroll down to Billing information and update the fields:
Invoice from: your company or legal name
Tax code: your business tax ID (see About the tax code below)
Country, Street address, PO Box, City, State / province (optional) and ZIP / postal code
When Invoice management is on, every field is required except PO Box and State / province (optional).
Click Save changes at the bottom of the page. The button shows Saved until you change something.
Your new details appear in the top right corner of your invoices, under your logo and invoice number.
Good to know: invoices always show your current billing information, so the change also shows on invoices that were created before you saved it, including when you or your clients download an invoice as a PDF.
Other settings on the Invoices tab
Invoice management: if you turn it off, transactions don't generate invoices and the Invoices page is hidden from your portal.
Require full address at checkout: when on, clients enter their full address at checkout. When off, they are only asked for their country, which keeps checkout short.
Automatic invoice note: turn it on and write your text in Invoice note to add the same note to all new invoices, for example payment terms or a thank-you message.
About the tax code
The Tax code field holds your business tax identification number, whatever it is called in your country: for example a VAT number in the EU or the UK, a GST number in Canada, Australia, New Zealand or India, an ABN in Australia, or an EIN in the United States. Use the number your accountant or tax authority tells you to put on invoices.
It is printed on your invoices as Tax #: followed by what you typed, under your address.
ManyRequests prints it exactly as you enter it. It doesn't check the format or validate the number with any tax authority, so double-check it, including any country prefix (for example
DEorGBfor VAT numbers). It doesn't add tax to your invoices. To charge tax, add tax rates under Settings > Modules and extensions > Billing, Payments tab, Taxes > Sales tax.
Your clients' own tax codes (from their billing details) are shown in the client section of their invoices.
