Client experience and client view

See what your clients see in their portal: the dashboard, how they submit requests, and what each sidebar item does.

Written by Gabriel Lecointere

This article shows what your clients see when they log in to your portal, so you can guide them and answer their questions with confidence.

Tip: the easiest way to see the client view for yourself is to log in as a client. Create a test client (see How to create a test client account to demo the client journey) or impersonate one of your clients (see How to impersonate clients).

How clients log in

Clients log in at your portal's address followed by /login. That's your ManyRequests portal address, or your own domain (for example portal.youragency.com) if you connected one. A custom portal domain needs a plan with custom domain support.

The client dashboard

After logging in, clients land on their Dashboard. It shows a welcome message, your onboarding content and announcements, the number of open and completed requests, and their list of requests.

How clients submit a request

  1. Click Create Request at the top right of any page.

  1. If they have more than one service, pick the service the request is for.

  2. Fill in the request form and submit it.

What clients find in the sidebar

Some items only appear when the matching feature is on, or when the client has permission to use it. You decide this in Settings > Modules and extensions. See Specific permissions for admin, client, and team.

  • Dashboard: an overview of their open and completed requests.

  • Requests: all their requests. They can open a request to comment, upload files and follow its progress.

  • Services: your catalog, where they can buy new services and subscriptions.

  • Credits and Hours: their credit or hours balance, if you sell credits or time.

  • Organization: the members of their organization. Only the organization owner sees it.

  • Messages: chat with your team.

  • Reports: for example timesheet or credit reports, if you allow them.

  • Invoices: their invoices, ready to view, download or pay.

  • Storage: their files, organized in folders.

  • Settings > Profile and account: their profile, notifications, security and billing.

  • Brands and Extensions: their brands, and any links or pages you added for clients.

The bell icon at the top right shows their notifications.

The organization owner can add their colleagues so they can submit and follow requests too. They click Add members, enter the person's details and save. They can also edit or remove members.

FAQ

Can clients see internal notes or other organizations?

No. Clients only see their own organization's requests, files and messages. Internal comments and organization notes stay with your team.

Can I hide the catalog from some clients?

Yes. Turn on Block services and catalog access in the client permissions. See Specific permissions for admin, client, and team.
