Instead of your clients accessing the portal through the ManyRequests subdomain, you want them to use your own branded domainâ like portal.youragency.com. This gives your portal a more professional, fully branded experience.
How to Set up a Custom Portal Domain
On your dashboard, click Settings on the left sidebar, then select Portal.
At the top of the Portal settings page, click the Advanced tab.
Under Advanced, locate Custom Portal Domain and click Manage Custom Domain.
âIn the Domain field, type in the subdomain you want to use for your portal, for example, portal.youragency.com. Then click Add Domain.
âManyRequests will generate a CNAME record that you need to add to your domain provider to verify ownership and enable SSL. Add it exactly as shown.
âOnce youâve both added records to your domain provider, click Validate. The status will update from Pending once the record is confirmed.
After adding your DNS record, it can take anywhere from a few hours to 48 hours for the changes to fully propagate across the internet. During this time, your custom domain may not be immediately accessibleâ this is completely normal.
How to Check if Your Domain Has Propagated
You can use a free DNS checker tool to monitor your domain propagation in real time:
Go to whatsmydns.net or dnschecker.org
Enter your custom domain, for example, portal.youragency.com
Select CNAME as the record type.
Click Search.
Green checkmarks indicate propagation is complete in that region. If some regions still show the old value, the propagation is still in progressâ give it more time and check again.
Note: Make sure to use a subdomain format when entering your domain, for example, portalyourdomain.com rather than just yourdomain.com. ManyRequests requires a subdomain for the custom portal domain to work correctly.
