React to request comments and chat messages with an emoji, see who reacted and remove your reaction.

Written by Gabriel Lecointere

Use case: A team member posts an update on a request and you want to acknowledge it without writing a full reply. React with an emoji instead and keep the conversation short.

You can react to comments in a request's Activity tab and to messages in Messages. Everyone who can see the comment or message can react, including clients.

How to react with an emoji

  1. Open the request's Activity tab, or go to Messages in the sidebar and open the conversation.

  2. Hover over the comment or message and click the smiley icon in the toolbar at its top right. You can also click the smiley icon below it.

  3. Pick an emoji. You can browse the categories or use Search emoji.

Your reaction appears below the comment or message with a count. Everyone in the request or conversation can see it.

See who reacted

Hover over a reaction to see the names of the people who used it. The tooltip lists up to three names and how many more reacted.

Add the same reaction or remove yours

  • Click an existing reaction to add yours to it; the count goes up.

  • Reactions you've added are highlighted in blue. Click one of them again to remove your reaction.

Good to know

  • On a phone or tablet, tap the smiley icon next to the sender's name or below the message.

  • You can't react to a message that has been removed.
