Plan: Email templates are available on the Pro plan.
Use case: You want your client emails to sound like your team, not a generic system. You rewrite the invitation email in your brand voice, explain next steps in the request completed email and add your support details to invoice emails, once, and every email after that uses your wording.
How to open email templates
Go to Settings > Portal and open the Advanced tab.
Next to Customize email templates, click Personalize email templates.
You see every email you can edit, grouped by category. Each one is marked Default or Custom (you've changed it). Use Search to find a template by name.
How to edit an email template
Click the pencil icon next to the template.
Change the Subject, the Body and the Button text. The Preview on the right updates as you type, using sample data.
To add a variable, place your cursor in the body, click Variables and pick one from the list. You can search the list.
Click Test email to send the email with your current changes to your own email address.
Click Save.
Using variables
Variables are placeholders in double curly braces, for example {{client_name}} or {{request_title}}. When the email is sent, each variable is replaced with the real value. Each template has its own set of variables, listed in the table below and in the Variables list in the editor.
{{DYNAMIC_CONTENT}} is the block that ManyRequests fills in itself, such as the request summary, the comment, the message or the items paid. Keep it in the body if you want that content in the email.
If you type a variable that the template doesn't support, the editor shows Invalid variables detected, and those variables are removed from the email.
How to go back to the default email
Open a template marked Custom.
Click Reset to default.
Click Reset to confirm. This restores the default subject, body and button text and can't be undone.

Good to know
Templates apply to your whole portal.
Only portal admins and admins can edit templates.
Every email ends with a link to Manage notification preferences, so recipients can choose which emails they get.
To send these emails from your own domain, see How to set up a custom email domain (also a Pro feature).
