How To Create Free or Default Services

In this article, you'll learn how to use Default Services to make a service available to all clients, even without a completed purchase.

What Are Default Services?

Default Services are always-visible services that appear for all clients in the request form, whether they’re new or existing, paying or not.

When this option is enabled:

  • The service appears to all clients in the portal

  • Clients can create unlimited requests using this service (unless otherwise limited)

  • It will not expire or disappear after they make a purchase

  • It will remain permanently available unless manually disabled by the portal admin

  • Clients are still subject to the Concurrent Request limit set on the service

This is useful for:

  • Trial services

  • Always-on support queues

  • General request submission during onboarding

📌 Use Case:

Imagine you run a design subscription agency and want every client—whether they're on a paid plan or not—to be able to submit requests under a general or introductory service like “Trial Design Task” or “Basic Creative Request.” You want it to always be visible in the request form without requiring a purchase.

This is exactly what Default Services are for.

How to Create a Default Service

  1. On your Dashboard, go to Services

  2. Create a Service

  3. Customize the Service Type and Service Details

  4. Set a Price and other parameters

  5. Make sure to enable "Make this the Default Service"

  6. Customize the Request Form as needed

  7. Click on Save
