How to reuse a request form on another service (templates)

Save a service's request form as a template and import it into another service. Pricing and details are not copied.

Use case

You're creating a new service that needs the same request form as one you already have. ManyRequests can't duplicate a whole service, but you can save a request form as a template and import it into any other service.

Good to know: templates copy the request form only (its fields and conditions). You still enter the service type, details and pricing for the new service.

Save a request form as a template

  1. In the sidebar, open Services and click All services. Click the three dots next to the service and click Edit request form.

  2. Next to Preview, click the three dots and click Save as template.

  3. Enter a Template name and click Save changes.

Save as template window with the Template name field highlighted

Use a template on another service

  1. In All services, click Create service. Fill in the Service type, Service details and Pricing details steps, clicking Next after each one. To use a template on an existing service, open its request form with Edit request form instead.

  2. On the Request form step, click the three dots next to Preview and click Import from template.

  3. In Templates, click Import next to the template you want. Click the arrow next to a template's name first if you want to check its fields.

  4. Choose an import option and click Confirm:

    • Append adds the template's fields after the ones already on the form.

    • Replace removes the current fields and puts the template's fields in their place.

  5. Adjust the imported fields if needed, then click Save.

The import is applied as soon as you click Confirm, so pick Replace only if you don't need the current fields.

Tips

  • To rename or delete a template, click the three dots next to it in Templates and choose Rename or Delete. Services that already imported it keep their fields.

  • To copy a single field within a form, use the Duplicate icon on that field.
