šŸ“Œ Use Case

You want the automated notifications your clients receive– like requests, updates, invoice reminders, and onboarding emails– to come from your own domain, such as [email protected], instead of the default ManyRequests address. This keeps your communication consistent and fully branded.

How to Set Up a Custom Email Domain

  1. On your dashboard, click Settings on the left sidebar, then select Portal.

  2. At the top of the Portal settings page, click the Advanced tab.

  3. Under Advanced, locate Custom Email Domain and click Set up Custom Domain.

  4. In the Email Address field, type in the email address you want to send notifications from– for example, [email protected]. Then click Add Email Domain.

  5. Once added, you will see a success message: ā€œCustom email domain added successfully. Please configure your DNS records.ā€ ManyRequests will generate two DNS records that you need to add to your domain provider. Add both records exactly as shown on the screen.

  6. Once you’ve added both records to your domain provider, click Validate next to each record in ManyRequests. The status will update from Pending once each record is confirmed.

  7. After adding your DNS records, it can take anywhere from a few hours to 48 hours for the changes to fully propagate. During this time, your custom email domain may not be immediately active– this is completely normal.

How to Check if Your Domain Has Propagated

You can use a free DNS checker tool to monitor your domain propagation in real time.

  1. Enter your domain– for example, youragency.com

  2. Select TXT as the record type

  3. Click Search

  4. Green checkmarks indicate propagation is complete in that region. If some regions still show the old value, propagation is still in progress– give it more time and check again.

Note: Copy the DNS record values directly from the ManyRequests screen using the copy icon next to each field. The TXT record value in particular is very long, and any missing character will prevent validation from succeeding.
