Use case: Your client is an agency, or a company with several sub-brands. With Brands, they keep each brand's logo, colors, fonts, guidelines and files in one place, and link every request to the right brand so your team always works with the right assets.
A brand holds everything your team needs for it: logos, fonts, colors, brand guides, links and template files. You decide which fields a brand has by editing the brand form.
Turn on Brands
Go to Settings > Portal and open the Advanced tab.
Scroll to Brands and turn on the switch.
Click Save changes.
Edit the brand form
Once Brands is on, click Edit brand form under the Brands switch.
The form always starts with two fields: Brand name and Brand logo. Click a field to change its label or placeholder text.
To add a field, click Add item at the bottom, then pick the field type and give it a name. You can add placeholder and help text to guide your clients.
Click Preview to see the form as your clients will, then click Save.
Tip: useful field types for brands are File group (brand assets), Color picker (brand colors), Short answer (links) and Paragraph (brand description). Changes to the fields are saved as you make them.
Create a brand (client view)
In the sidebar, hover over the Brands section and click the plus (+) button that appears next to it. If the client has no brands yet, they can also click Create one.
Fill in the brand form.
Click Create brand. The brand's page opens, where you can keep its details up to date.
Each brand page has three tabs: Profile (the brand form answers), Requests (the requests linked to the brand) and Files. To download every file at once, open Files and click Download all files.
Create and manage brands as an admin
Go to Users > Clients and open the Brands tab to see every brand, with its organization. Click Create brand to add one for a client: you pick the organization first.
Each organization also has a Brands tab on its page.
On a brand's page, admins and team members can click Add item to add an extra field to that brand only.
Link a request to a brand
When a client creates a request, they can pick the brand under Brand. The field shows when Brands is on and the client's organization has at least one brand.
The brand then shows in the request's Summary. Your team can click the brand name to open its page and grab the assets. Admins and team members can also change the brand there with the arrow next to it. Clients see the brand but can't change it.
Delete a brand
Admins, team members and the client's organization members can delete a brand:
As an admin or team member: go to Users > Clients and open the Brands tab. Click the three dots in the Actions column of the brand and click Delete. You can also open the brand and use the three-dot menu at the top right of its page.
As a client: in the sidebar, click the three dots next to the brand under Brands and click Delete.
A confirmation window opens. Click Delete to confirm, or Cancel to keep the brand. You can't restore a deleted brand from the app.
What happens when you delete a brand
The brand disappears from the Brands lists, the client sidebar and the Brand dropdown on new requests. Its page (Profile, Requests and Files tabs) can no longer be opened.
Requests linked to it are not deleted. They keep the brand's name and logo in their Summary, but the name is no longer a link to the brand page. Admins and team members can pick another brand for the request with the arrow next to it.
Files are kept. Files uploaded to the brand's file fields are stored in a folder with the brand's name in the organization's files, and deleting the brand doesn't delete them. You still find them on the organization's Files tab. Files attached to requests stay on those requests.
Tip: to rename a brand instead, open it and change its name on its page.
