Use case: explaining feedback in writing takes a while. With the Loom integration, you and your clients can record a quick screen or camera video right from a request and post it as a comment.
The integration uses Loom's record SDK. You create a free SDK app in Loom once, then connect it to ManyRequests. Only portal admins and admins can change this setting.
Step 1: Create a Loom SDK app
In ManyRequests, go to Settings > Integrations and click Loom.
Click set up your developer account. It opens the Loom developer portal.
In the Loom developer portal, create an SDK Standard app.
Back in ManyRequests, click Copy domain next to Domains allowed for SDK setup, and add that domain to your Loom app's allowed domains. If you use a custom portal domain, this shows your custom domain.
Copy the app's public app ID from Loom.
Step 2: Connect Loom to ManyRequests
How to record a Loom video on a request
Once Loom is connected, a video camera icon appears in the comment toolbar of every request, for your team and your clients. It also appears when you comment on a file in the proofing view.
Open a request and go to the Activity tab.
In the comment box, click the video camera icon (Record with Loom).
Sign in or sign up to Loom when asked. Clients need their own free Loom account.
Choose screen, camera or both, then start recording.
When you finish, click Insert video in the Loom window. The video link is added to your comment.
Send the comment.
Tips
If the icon is greyed out and the tooltip says Loom is not supported on this browser, switch to a desktop browser that Loom supports, such as Chrome.
The icon does not appear if the integration is turned off. If it stays greyed out with the tooltip Loading..., check the Public app ID.
If recording doesn't start, check that your portal domain is in the Loom app's allowed domains.
