How to connect Zapier to your ManyRequests account

Join the ManyRequests Zapier app, copy your domain and API token, and connect your portal in Zapier.

Written by Gabriel Lecointere

Use case: you want ManyRequests to talk to the other tools you use, for example a Slack message for every new client or a request created from a form submission. Zapier connects them without code. This article covers the one-time setup.

You need to be a portal admin or admin to see your Zapier connection details.

Step 1: Open the Zapier settings

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations.

  2. Click Zapier.

Step 2: Join the ManyRequests app in Zapier

Our Zapier app is still in beta, so you won't find it by searching Zapier's app directory yet. You need to accept the beta invite first.

  1. On the Zapier page, click the Zapier. link next to "Go to".

  2. Log in to Zapier if asked and accept the invite. The ManyRequests app is now available in your Zapier account.

Step 3: Copy your domain and API token

The same page shows the two details Zapier asks for:

  • Domain: your portal's address. If you set up a custom portal domain, this is your custom domain.

  • API token: the token Zapier uses to act on your portal.

Click Copy domain and Copy token to copy each one.

Keep your API token private. Anyone with it can read and change data in your portal through Zapier. Don't share it in emails or screenshots.

Step 4: Connect ManyRequests in Zapier

  1. In Zapier, create a new Zap.

  2. For the trigger or action, search for ManyRequests and pick an event.

  3. When Zapier asks you to sign in to ManyRequests, paste your Domain and API token, then continue.

  4. Zapier tests the connection. Once it works, you can reuse the same connection in all your Zaps.

What you can automate

The ManyRequests app has triggers (such as Client Created, Request Created or Comment Created), actions (such as Create Request, Create Comment or Update Request Status) and searches. See the full list in Complete list of Zapier triggers and actions.

FAQ

I can't find ManyRequests when I search in Zapier.

Open the invite link from the Zapier settings page (Step 2) while logged in to Zapier. The app only shows up after you accept the beta invite.

My Zaps stopped working. Why?

Zapier can't reach your portal once your ManyRequests subscription or trial has ended. Requests from Zapier are refused until the subscription is active again.

Do I need a webhook as well?

No. Zapier is set up separately. If you prefer to send events to another tool without Zapier, see How to use webhooks.
