How to set up the Tapfiliate integration

Connect Tapfiliate to credit affiliates for referral visits, purchases and coupon codes used in your portal.

Use case: you run an affiliate or referral program in Tapfiliate. When a referred client buys from your portal, you want the sale credited to the right affiliate, including sales made with an affiliate's coupon code.

How to set up the Tapfiliate integration

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations and click Tapfiliate.

  2. Turn on Enabled.

  3. Enter your Tapfiliate account ID. You find it in your Tapfiliate account settings, where it is also called the Account sub ID.

  4. Click Save changes.

What gets tracked

  • Referral visits: the Tapfiliate script runs on your public catalog, service checkout, order form, add-on checkout and invoice payment pages, so a visitor who arrives through an affiliate link is recognized.

  • Paid purchases: when a payment succeeds, ManyRequests sends Tapfiliate a conversion with the amount, the currency, the client's Stripe customer and the coupon code used, if any.

  • Purchases with no charge, such as a free trial: ManyRequests records a trial for the client instead of a conversion.

Credit affiliates through coupon codes

Tapfiliate can also credit a sale to an affiliate when the client uses that affiliate's coupon code, even without a referral link. For this to work, the code must exist in both tools and match exactly.

  1. In Tapfiliate, assign a coupon code to the affiliate.

  2. In ManyRequests, go to Services > Discount coupons and create a coupon with exactly the same Coupon code.

Good to know: tracking happens in your client's browser. Ad blockers or strict privacy settings can stop the Tapfiliate script, so some sales may not be tracked.
