Use case: You're working outside your client's business hours and want your reply to arrive at the right moment. Instead of sending it now, you schedule it, which is especially useful for remote teams working across time zones.
How to schedule a response
In the sidebar, click Requests and open the request you want to reply to.
On the Activity tab, write your message in the comment box at the bottom. You can add attachments, or switch the message to internal, as usual.
Instead of clicking the send button, click the small arrow next to it. The Schedule send menu opens:
Tomorrow sends the message tomorrow at 8:00 AM.
In 2 days sends it two days from now at 8:00 AM.
Custom time lets you pick a date and time.
The arrow only works once the comment box has some text or an attachment.
For Custom time, choose the Date and Hours, then click Schedule message. The time must be at least 5 minutes from now.
Your message is saved and posted automatically at the chosen time. The people on the request are notified when it's posted, not when you schedule it.
About time zones: all scheduled times use the time zone of your browser, shown at the top of the Schedule message dialog. "8:00 AM" for Tomorrow and In 2 days means 8:00 AM where you are, not where your client is. To hit your client's morning, use Custom time and convert the time yourself.
How to manage scheduled messages
When you have messages waiting, a line above the comment box shows when your message will be sent, or how many messages are scheduled.
Click View message (or View messages if you have more than one).
In the Scheduled window, click the three dots next to a message and choose:
Edit message to change the text in the comment box. Click the check button to save your changes.
Reschedule send to pick a new date and time.
Send message to post it right away.
Delete to cancel it.
Good to know:
You only see your own scheduled messages. Other people on the request don't see them until they're posted.
Clients can schedule messages the same way.
Internal messages stay internal when they're scheduled, and are marked Internal in the Scheduled window.
