How to Use ManyRequests for Internal Tasks

Learn how to utilize ManyRequests as an internal project management tool for your agency.

📌 Use Case

Your agency uses ManyRequests to manage client work, but what about internal tasks? Instead of switching between multiple tools, you can use ManyRequests to manage your agency’s internal projects in the same place.

Here are two ways to do it:

I. Create an Internal Client Account

Create a dedicated client account using your agency’s name. This way, when your team creates requests under this account, everyone will know right away that it’s internal work, and not a client request.

1. In your portal dashboard, click Users on the left sidebar, then select Clients.

2. Click Create Client in the top right corner.

3. In the Create Client form, enter the following:

  • Name: Use a name that clearly identifies this as an internal account, such as your agency’s name or “Internal Team”.

  • Email Address: Use your agency’s email address

  • Organization Name: Enter your agency’s name

4. Your Internal Client account is now set up. Any requests created under this account will be clearly identified as internal tasks for your team.

II. Use Kanban View for Internal Tasks

Use the Kanban board to add task cards that are not attributed to any client. These unassigned cards serve as internal tasks your team can track and manage directly on the board.

  1. In your portal, click Dashboard in the left sidebar. Your Kanban board is displayed here by default.

2. In the top right corner, make sure Kanban is selected as your view.

3. Inside any column, click +Add requests. A quick-add form will appear with the following fields:

  • Enter request name: Type a name for your internal task

  • Add client: Leave this blank to mark it as an internal task

  • Add service: Leave this blank or assign a service if needed

4. Click Save to add the card to the board. Since no client is assigned, your team will know this is an internal task.

5. Move cards across columns, such as Submitted, In Progress, Pending Feedback, and Complete, to track the progress of your internal work.
