How to Send Requests via Email

Clients can submit requests simply by sending an email. This guide shows how to find your unique request email address and share it with clients.

Not every client wants to log into a portal just to submit a task. Sometimes, they just want to send a quick email and move on. This feature lets them do exactly that, while you still keep everything organized inside ManyRequests.

📌 Use Case

You’re working with clients who:

  • Prefer email over logging into tools

  • Send requests while on the go

  • Forget to use the portal consistently

Instead of copying emails into tasks manually, you can let requests flow straight into your system.

How It Works

Once enabled, ManyRequests gives you a unique email address.

When a client sends an email to that address:

  • The subject becomes the request title

  • The email body becomes the request description

  • Attachments are automatically included in the request

  • The system matches the sender to an existing client account

  • A new request is created inside the portal

How to Enable (Admin view)

  1. On your Dashboard go to Settings

  2. Go to Modules and Extensions

  3. Click on Requests

  4. Scroll down and enable "Create Requests via Email"

How to Share It With Clients

Once you have the email address, you can:

  • Send it directly to clients

  • Add it to onboarding materials

  • Include it in your service instructions

A simple line like this works well:

“You can also send requests via email using this address.”

How Can Clients Get Your Request Email Address (Client view)

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Dashboard

  2. Click on Projects / Requests

  3. Click Create Project / Request

  4. Scroll down

  5. Click “Or Submit via Email”

You’ll see a generated email address.
This is the address your clients should use to send requests.

Notes on attachments:

  • New requests → files saved to the request

  • Replies → files saved as comment attachments

  • Files over 25MB are skipped automatically
