Clients who have credits or hours see their balance in a card at the bottom of the sidebar, with a Top-up button when you offer top-ups. There is no setting to turn this card off, but you can hide it with a short custom CSS snippet.
Use case: You run a design subscription where clients buy credits. Some clients hold back on new requests because they watch their balance drop. You hide the balance from the sidebar so they focus on the work, while you keep tracking credits on your side.
How to hide the balance card
Go to Settings > Portal and open the Advanced tab.
Under Custom CSS, click Custom styles.
Paste this snippet into the editor. If the editor already has CSS, add it at the end.
nav + div.rounded-md { display: none !important; }Optional: to also hide the Credits and Hours links in the client menu, add this snippet too.
body:has(.client-sidebar) nav a[href$="/credits"], body:has(.client-sidebar) nav a[href$="/hours"] { display: none !important; }Click Save changes.
What your clients see
Before, the balance card sits above the client's name at the bottom of the sidebar:
After, the card is gone. With the optional snippet, the Credits and Hours links are gone too:
Good to know
The card only appears for clients, and only while they have credits or hours left. The hours line also needs time tracking to be on.
The snippets only hide things on screen. Clients can still open their credits and hours pages from a direct link, and nothing changes in how credits and hours are counted.
To block the credit reports as well, turn off Access credit reports for clients in Settings > Modules and extensions > Users. See Role permissions for admins, team members and clients.
Custom CSS applies to the whole portal. As the note on the editor says, page structure and class names may change as we update the app, so check your portal after updates and contact support if a snippet stops working.
