How To Impersonate Clients

Impersonation mode lets you see exactly what your client sees.

You can easily switch into your client’s view to troubleshoot issues, test portal configurations, or provide step-by-step guidance.

  • Admin View: Access impersonation directly and switch back with full control.

  • Team Member View: Team members can impersonate clients if granted permission, ideal for providing support or checking access.

Use impersonation to help with support and ensure a smooth client experience - this is all done without leaving your dashboard.

Imagine you're part of a creative agency using ManyRequests to manage client projects. A client reports an issue with their dashboard view, or perhaps you want to ensure that new permissions are correctly set up.

Instead of guessing or requesting screenshots, you can directly view the portal from the client's perspective using the impersonation feature. This capability allows team members to:

Troubleshoot Client Issues: Quickly identify and resolve problems by seeing exactly what the client sees.

Test Portal Configurations: Verify that permissions, services, and other settings appear correctly to the client.

Provide Guided Support: Walk clients through processes with firsthand insight into their user experience.

How to Impersonate Clients (Admin / Team View)

  1. On your Dashboard, go to Users > Clients

  2. Select the Client you want to impersonate

  3. Click on the vertical three dots

  4. Click on Impersonate

  5. On Impersonation mode, you'll see the Client name highlighted on the profile area (bottom left)

  6. To exit Impersonation mode, click the vertical three dots of the profile area

  7. Select Leave Impersonation
