Written by Regine Garcia

📌 Use Case

You want to organize your clients and requests using custom labels– like marking a client as “New Client”, grouping requests by team, or filtering your work by a specific category. Tags let you do all this in one place, and you can also control whether your team members can see or manage them.

How to Add Tags to an Organization

  1. Open your dashboard, click Users on the left sidebar, then select Clients.

  2. Click on the client or organization you want to tag.

  3. On the right side of the Organization Details page, scroll down to find the Tags section.

  4. Click the + sign beside Tags and select an existing tag or type a new one to create it. The tag will appear below the dropdown.

  5. To remove a tag, click the x next to it.

How to Add Tags to a Request

  1. Navigate to the request you want to tag.

  2. On the right side of the Request Details page, scroll down to the Summary panel and find the Tags section.

  3. Click the dropdown under Tags and select an existing tag or type a new one. The tag will appear below the dropdown.

  4. To remove a tag, click the x next to it.

How to Filter by Tags

  1. Click Requests on the left sidebar.

  2. Click the Filters button in the top right of the Requests page.

  3. Two tag filter options are available:

    • Tags - filter requests by tags added directly to a request

    • Organization Tags - filter requests by tags added to the client’s organization

  4. Click the dropdown under your preferred filter and select the tag you want to filter by. Your requests list will update to show only those matching the selected tag.

How to Control Tag Visibility for Team Members

Admins can control whether team members can see or manage request tags.

  1. Click Settings on the left sidebar, then select Modules and Extensions.

  2. Find Users and click the gear icon to open its settings.

  3. Find the following two toggles and configure them as needed:

See requests tags - if enabled, team members can see tags on requests

Change requests tags - if enabled, team members can add or remove tags on requests.

  4. Click Save to apply your changes.
